Breakouts

1) Towards a Third Reconstruction

This panel will trace the legacy of the Black Liberation movement contextualizing it within the socialist movement today.

2) The Crisis of Climate Change

This panel argues the answer isn't better regulation of extraction, it's ending the ownership structure that requires it. Toppling the fossil fuel order means treating land, water, and energy as things a planned society manages for collective survival, not resources corporations extract for shareholder return.

Plenary 2: Internationalism and the Struggle Against US Imperialism

We the people of the U.S. have a historic responsibility and must refuse to be the mouthpieces and foot soldiers of U.S. imperialism. It is our responsibility to continue to build a fighting movement that can make anti-imperialist politics a decisive force. That movement is for a new system, a socialist system, in which the drive for war and profit would be replaced with a drive to provide for all people and the planet.

Claudia De La Cruz (IFCO Pastors For Peace), Taher (Palestine Youth Movement), Doug (Veteran), Deja Gaston (Organizer), Jacqueline (Asians for Palestine)

Plenary 3: War, AI, and Climate Catastrophe: The Crises of Capitalism & The Struggle for Socialism

We are facing three existential crises that pose the question of revolution or devastation on a societal wide basis: climate catastrophe, global war between the United States and other major powers, and the massive replacement of existing jobs by AI technologies under the control of capitalist corporations. Unless the project of socialist reconstruction is started, climate disaster, AI, and global war will result in catastrophic outcomes for the human race and all living things.
